Author's Bio
Professor Tristram Hooley is a researcher and writer focusing on career and career guidance. He is Professor of Career Education at the University of Derby and also holds Professorial titles at the Inland Norway University of Applied Science and Canterbury Christ Church University. He is the Chief Editor of the NICEC journal, a Winston Churchill Fellow and the Chair of the Critical approaches to career and career guidance COST project. He is also on the board of the Career Development Policy Group and the International Centre for Career Development and Public Policy. Tristram has written thirteen books, including most recently The Career Development Handbook for Trotman, and many articles and reports. His work explores the relationship between career, policy and technology and examines how career guidance can support individuals to manage their engagement with work, learning and society. Dr Gill Frigerio is an Associate Professor in the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Warwick. Gill's teaching and research interests cover theory and practice in career coaching; working with vocation and calling; women’s career development and researching career development practice. Dr Rosie Alexander is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus. Prior to her academic career, she worked for over 15 years as a career adviser in both England and Scotland.
